Chiefly World War I letters from Harrell Burke written to his family in Marion, Ark., covering his entire stay in the U.S. Army from training at Camp Pike in Little Rock, Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Mo., and Camp Meigs (Washington, D.C.), and his stations in France; together with includes letters from his younger brother, Lewis Burke, to the family from Fayetteville, Ark., where he was enrolled in the U.S. Students' Army Training Corps, and letters from family friend Roland W. Hine, a U.S. marine stationed in France.
